Hey guys, I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to this type of thing, so I'm relying on the MFP community to give me some guidance. I'm looking to buy a HRM for my mother, actually. She had been using a Polar Pacer that served her well for about a decade. I'm looking to get her something of an upgrade with the basics and maybe a few features to wow her.
I am a student, and cost is a factor but please please let me know what your experience has been with your HRM regardless of cost. Thanks!

I have the Polar RCX5 not an inexpensive model, it is great but the watch is a little hard to read on the fly and the back light is not great.0
