I appreciate we are all individuals so will burn calories different but i just think is it me or is it the usual slow process ?? I go 3 times per week , have done for i think a few months now but dont feel much different...... I spend an hour at the least each time, often 1 1/2 doing a variety of exercises but deep down think its probs my diet... not that i eat alot of ''bad'' foods, just not enough of the good foods, proteins etc......

People can lose weight without going to the gym, so if your question is do you have to go no. If your question is should you go-papers say 3 times a week is enough. Go as often as you like..I find the more I go the less hungry I am and more energetic and wanting to go. Maybe you should try different exercises, take a class, talk to a fitness instructor.0

It sounds like you need to up the intensity of your workouts. I don't know what you're doing at the gym, but the same workout can eventually become monotonous and ineffective. You need to suprise your body, challenge it! Some days run/power walk on the treadmill. Hop on the elliptical...the cross trainer...the bike. And start strength training!! That is the key, well at least for me, I am starting to believe it is. Good Luck, don't give up.0

I do something daily! But, the key factor with me is I need to ENJOY what I am doing! I can not just exercise for the sake of exercising! I love to walk, so I walk alot! Anywhere from 5-10 miles a day! Plus, with it being summer, I am able to swim, play tennis, badminton, kickball, softball, etc.
I have set goals for myself for each month! This month, one of my goals is to burn a minimum of 800+ calories a day! Some days, I have only done between 650-750, but most days, I am well over 1000! And, that is because I am having so much fun doing what I am doing, that I don't think of it as exercise!
I started MFP in mid-April and have lost 27 pounds since then...with another 16 lost prior to that! And, most of it is from walking...something I enjoy!0 -
I think i also need to maybe do some fitness sessions aswell...... if i have the energy, i'm normally thinking hurry up hour......i'm starving !!!0
