Just introducing myself - CJ. I've lost about 40lbs after my last pregnancy, but put back on 14lbs and have been losing the same five lbs for a few months. The good news is I've gone down 3 pants sizes thus far! I've been very thin and fit and I've been very fat. I'd like to find a way to be fit without being obsessed with weight.
I've tried a lot of things in the past - gyms, Weight Watchers, cabbage soup, Power 90, The Firm, exercise tapes, etc. All of them seemed to give me that all or nothing feeling. This time, things are different. I walked, cut out all caffeine then all sugar to break the addiction to them. Now I have both, but in limited amounts - not imposed, per se, but my cravings are no longer intense and my tastes have changed. I've started to eat homemade soup for as many meals as I can - mostly one or two a day for three to five days a week. I just see it as a convenient way to get in my vegetables, fill my stomach and satisfy my taste buds without a lot of calories. I've been doing this for about three weeks. I don't feel the pressure to be all or nothing like I have in the past. I'm thankful to God for the progress He gives me.
I'm looking at the weight loss in stages. The next stage is to get some support from others, dance, and add water to what I'm currently doing. I'd like to focus on making good habits that make the goal of being in Shape easy.

hi, i've only been here for 25 days the presure of people watching at weight watches was to intimadating for me. but this way people can say what they think but you don't have to look each other in the face. most people are very surportive but to have a bit of constructive critism i find is helpful.so if you see anything in my diary that i should change shout.. i have tried to cut out coffee as i have a sugar in each one i did really well in the begining but am slipping for the last few days, so will have to watch it !!!
Good luck with braking the habbits for good, i am with you xxx0 -
I think you just need to make forward progress in your diet so I can't really judge what you are eating . If you are used to eating five slices of pizza at one sitting and now you only had one - I can't look at your food diary and go , oh no you had pizza! I'm trying to incorporate lifestyle changes at a pace where I can keep going and not quit.0
