Uncle Tobies Oats Healthy??

I used to eat a lot of Uncle Tobies Traditional Oats a few years ago and I wanted to know if you think its a healthy breakfast? So the ingredients are 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup skim milk, 1 tbs honey, 1 banana and some raspberries... What do you think?

As long as they aren't the 'quick oats' you are okay. Those quick cooking oats are super refined so contain less nutrients and are more quickly digested.

The quick oats are OK too. They are the same but just cut up smaller so they cook quicker. They are digested a bit quicker for that reason but they are essentially the same.

    Sounds pretty good to me.

If you’re looking for something different try mixing in a bowl the night before. 1/2 cup of quick oats, 1 tub of low fat low sugar fruit yoghurt and 1/2 cup milk. Leave it to soak in the fridge overnight and then in the morning stick it in the microwave for a minute.

I have this most mornings and it keeps me going till lunch time and it is only 255 cal. The best part is you can change the flavour by changing the flavour of the yoghurt.

Sorry I didn't say that I use skim milk.
