I have an eliptical.. I  my elliptical. But UNFORTUNATELY, i think this may be its last straw. It rocks back and forth when I use it...I have used it maybe 50 times...:grumble: The whole frame on it moves....(I guess I have learned my lesson when it comes to cheap walmart stuff)..Anyway...I can't afford to buy a new eliptical:sad: But I have seen that recumbent bikes are cheaper than them....

How many cals do you burn on one of those???...

Help:drinker: TIA!.

Mine was rocking too so I tightened all the bolts and replaced the ones that were stripped, now it's fine. Have you tried that? That really sucks that it's pretty new and is not working for you, I'm not sure about the recumbant bike, but I wish you luck

generally less than an elliptical. There's no body weight on a recumbent bike. Which makes it less taxing. Now if you were talking about a SPINNING bike, usually those can be quite a workout. Have you checked craig's list? It has some pretty good (and cheap) spinning bikes and ellipticals both for about the same cost (or less) as a good recumbent bike.

check to see if you have a Play it Again Sports near you. I bought a very high end ellip for the same price as a new one at Walmart.

    I love it.

Definitely check craigslist, I got my spinning bike from someone there for $45. Sure, it's a little old (maybe 10 years max), but it works well & gets the job done. I love it and I get a really great workout.

Is there possibly a warranty on your eliptical? I know a lot of times getting things repaired or replaced through the warranty is more expensive than just buying something new but it may be worth a shot.

i would try tightening the bolts ect, or taking it back to the company. because after that many uses it shouldn't be fudging up like that. someone else suggested craigslist, i would try there because you could get a great ellip for a really decent price!
