Question about Calories burned (App & or MFP) HELP!?!

Okay I have a question. I use Runtastic on my phone to track my time, distance and calories burned. Well today I walked for:
1:25:26 (85 Minutes)
5.49 Miles
Avg. Pace 15:34
Avg. Speed 3.9
Calories Burned: 410
Now it is my updated weight just like I have on MyFitnessPal (175.0) When I enter the time on here, for walking 3.5mph it gives calories burned 427. And if I choose 4.0mph, it gives 562 Calories burned.
--
So my question is, Do I put into my Diary the 410 Calories burned from my Application on my GPS Phone or do I choose one of the MyFitnessPal Calories burned and which one? 3.5mph or since my Avg. speed was 3.9mph then I chose 4.0mph?
Thanks for the help. Been meaning to ask this for awhile.

Honestly, your phone. MFP WAAAAYYY over calculate, I always subtract at least 50 from what it says0
-
Have you considered getting an HRM?0
-
Most people find the MFP numbers to be significantly inflated. Go with the lowest number.0

I'm getting the awesome FitBit soon. But until then, I just wanted to see what everybody has to share about this. So pretty much just put my 410 Calories burned instead of using the MFP calculations.0

I would go by your phone, I never go by what MFP says I burned. I always put in WHAT the machine says I burn, it's more accurate.0

Thank you all for the help! :-)0

To get a more accurate reading you would want to get a heart rate monitor.. People burn at different rates based on weight, body fat percentage, etc. IMO MFP information seems a little on the high side for exercise calories. I have a heart rate monitor coming so I can try to get a more accurate estimate.0

Yeah, I'm so getting the FitBit. Thing looks so awesome the way it tracks everything.0 -
I use an App on my phone to track my walks, runs and bike rides and always enter whatever it tells me instead of the MFP provided calorie burn.
I know neither is as accurate as an HRM (will be getting one in September hopefully) but for now I go with my phone.0 -
Go with the lowest number, or the avg between the two. Consider getting an HRM which will be even more accurate.0

I never go by what MFP says cause they dont know how fast you go or what incline. I go at a 15.0 incline and go at about 6.0 mph and the closest thing MFP has is walking uphill at 3.5 mph so I use the machine numbers its closer then what the site has. Uphill could be at incline 5.0 or 15.0 which is a major difference in calories burned0 -
I use a few different apps at once and my HRM, then average them all. One called MapMyRun records incline if you're outside. Honestly, I don't know if it's my HRM, but it's usually higher in cal count than what MFP tells me.0

I used that MapMyWalk and it was HORRIBLE. The calorie burned system was WAY off and could tell it was wrong. I LOVE my Runtastic until I get the FitBit.0
