My hubby has recently started making healther choices after seeing me do it...he has not added in exercise and had lost more weight than I have in half the time I am just a teensy...ok a lot jealous....but happy for him.0

My wife and I support each other in both our eating habits and fitness goals. Works out great.0

He's indifferent.0

I was getting ready to head out to see my trainer this morning while the boyfriend was deep frying jalapeno poppers.
He's so far off board, he's pretty much under it. lol0 -
Wife is very supportive she is on here as well.
She makes all of our dinners and inputs them into meals so that I can just copy from her diary - Although I think this is the better choice for her instead of me nagging her incessantly over and over about how many calories are in what and what she put in what ...
She is a class act.0 -
Not only is he on board, he's on MFP and sometimes on the boards..so I have to behave.0
-
Yes hubby is on board, also on MFP
This :happy:0 -
Yes. He supports and encourages me with my fitness goals and has been complimentary about my new shape. He is also on MFP and doing well.0

My live-in bf is supportive of what I am doing. I'm trying to get him to do it with me... he prefers to smoke pot and play video games.
I'm sure though, once I start losing a lot he'll feel motivated. He has a bit of a beer belly and he knows it.0 -
No one in this house is dieting/changing eating habits but me. I have to force myself to resist the soda, hotdogs, chocolate cake, peanut butter, cookies, etc that are constantly in the house because just because I "want to be healthier doesn't mean everyone else has to deprive themselves of what they want."
Also there's the fact that brother is actually trying to gain weight/muscle so he's pretty much doing/eating the complete opposite of what I am.0 -
My Dh is on board. He LOVES red meat, but is now down to that once a week or every 10 days. ( I cook, he doesn't,,easy plan )
He started using an ellipitcal trainer a year ago, and since the menus have changed, he's lost 10 pounds.0 -
You are one incredibly lucky man that your wife is so supportive! Congrats on your weight loss and keep up the great work!Wife is very supportive she is on here as well.

My gf and I both do MFP.....she has gotten more friends to join that me! and I was the first one addicted.
We also both run, I did the Rock and Roll Marathon in D.C. and she did the Half-Marathon. We both run 2-3 times a week, although not always together (I run with a group of guys usually).
Sometimes I'll cook and she'll copy my diary from her iPhone or vice-versa.
We even trade Jillian Michael's DVDs. I just gave her 30 day shred and she gave me 6 week 6 pack (which I'll do after ripped in 30). I just use heavier weights.
I'm at 300 or so days straight and she's at 285...I told her about MFP shortly after I joined.0 -
As long as I'm cooking, he's eating what I'm eating. Just maybe in different portions and proportions.
And of course he supports what I'm doing... it means I'm more comfortable nekkid! :laugh:0 -
At first my wife was saying I was losing too much and saying I needed to stop. Some fellow MFP friends said it could be from some insecurities of me getting shape. I reassured her I was doing it for me and wanted her to be proud of what I was doing, she had no worries of anything else happening. Ever since she is loving it and it's actually made us A LOT closer0

my husband supports my efforts, but still eats like crap... he'll come to the decision to be healthy in his own time. i do most of the cooking so i tend to split the difference, not completely clean, but much healthier than we were eating.0

My live-in boyfriend supports me in losing weight, but as far as doing it himself, he's not...I think he wants to, since he has told me himself that he is not as in shape as he used to be. I try to encourage him but sometimes my encouragement sounds like nagging to him (and to me), and I don't want to be the one to nag him to do it, I want to see him do it for himself, because he wants to. I'm hoping that through me wanting to buy healthier foods at the grocery store and when we go out to eat, and seeing me exercise, it will rub off on him. He's also told me that he will feel more motivated when I start losing a serious amount of weight...though he is not the reason I am losing weight, I am doing it for myself, for my health and self-esteem. I'm hoping eventually he will kind of "learn" through me and want to change his lifestyle...he does have an active job, he is on his feet from 8-10 hrs. per day, and his work environment doesn't have AC so he sweats a lot. But, he enjoys eating a lot of not very healthy foods. I usually plan our dinners together, but I know he goes out to eat at McDonald's or other places sometimes when he's on lunch at work...but less often than he used to, now he brings lunches from home more often because our money situation is kind of tight. I know it would be easier for me if he was on board, and I think it would be good for our relationship if we were both doing it together, but as of right now, it's just me.0

My husband is very supportive! But since he is naturally thin, has the metabolism of an Olympic athlete, a very physical job, and the ability to eat only when he is hungry, he has no need to join me in my quest. He eats the foods that I prepare and praises my healthier recipes, so I can honestly say that I'm very blessed.0

My husband is 100% supportive we both are doing insanity together and its a great feeling =]0

She is definitely on board! She has been eating healthy all her life, so she has no real use for a site like MFP. As a matter of fact, had I simply followed her advice 10 years ago (or at any point along the way), I wouldn't be in this mess. I'm super hard headed though, unfortunately.
The good news is that as I've begun this journey, she's done a remarkable job of holding back on the "I told you so's" and the, "I've been telling you that for years, but suddenly you read it online and wanna act like it's the gospel!" If the tables were turned, I only hope I'd have the humility to be as gracious.
I'm a lucky man. Doing this without your support would be hard. Doing it without her's would be virtually impossible.0 -
My husband and I are doing this together so he's on board with me. I log his food and exercise on this site and let him know where he is calorie wise. It was tough before he got on board because I was more prone to get sucked into snacks and not so healthy food but it's way easier now.0

My baby doll puts me and most men that I know to shame when it comes to fitness. She's a beast in the weight room and she can literally run circles around me on foot. She eats healthy and still enjoys treats. She defintitely motivates me to be better.0

Yes, my wife is a quiet lurker who has forbidden me to comment on her news feed.
I'm my DH's only "friend" and he doesn't use the boards at all. I have stopped bothering to comment on his newsfeed, but I rib him about it in person every once in a while.0 -

You most certainly are a lucky man! Good for you two

Well considering I met my fiance on here, yes, he most certainly is on board. He's been a fitness and nutrition nut for years now and is also an ISSA certified nutrition and fitness specialist and trainer. He is a wealth of knowledge on all things nutrition and fitness related and some how manages to make me look like a novice.0 -

Honey, you are anything but a novice. Oh and I love you!0 -
My wife's not on MFP, but she's one of the reasons I signed up - she's been trying to lose weight ever since our son was born, and is trying to watch her calories. But I was supportive in word, and sort of in action. I wouldn't try to sabotage her or anything, but I would eat like a horse (3000 calories a day vs her 1300).
I still eat significantly more, but it's more controlled, and I'm actually dropping weight for the first time in years. I use the food database to plan out recipes and run them by her to see what she's interested in (like this weekend's blackened salmon on a grilling plank - yum!)0 -
I met my girlfriend on here so she is definitely on board. We help each other with our fitness and nutrition goals, and we push each other to do better each day.0

Awww you're sweet babe. I love you ❤0 -
don't go meatless because you think it will help you lose weight. I'm a pudger and all my meals are meatless
and yes, boyfriend couldn't be more on board. I have to remind him to save discussions about my glycogen when we're out on dates... and he makes a great spotter at the gym ). really, I adore him for many reasons, but his knowledge of nutrition and training have helped me immensely. lucky girl!0 -
