I recently started trying to lose weight, and within one week I lost 4 pounds, but suddenly it's all back within the course of a few days. I didn't really overeat. I had some dinners out with friends but I'd make sure to eat much less before I went with them during the day. Usually I end up below my calorie limit, with a few minor exceptions. Plus, I do eat healthier now. More fruits, vegetables, less soda, all that. And I go to the gym to work out with my friend.
It's a bit discouraging. I am seeing some signs besides my weight that suggest I'm in better health. The stretch marks I had are seeming less, I don't know, stretched? Like they're going away. But I don't know. I'm just worried that perhaps the calorie estimate MFP gave me is too high, and maybe I should go lower. I guess it's just frustrating when the scale just keeps giving me mixed messages.
