just a quick summary of my journey im going into my senior year of college i began last summer i dropped 20-25pounds last summer which i was really happy about but not only that i changed my lifestyle on from what i drank to what i ate. So through junior year of college i maintained until spring semester and i lost maybe 5 pounds. during the school year i exercised and such but with college life and money issues i was happy that i didnt gain any weight. So summer began again and i was excited to get focused on weight loss, i began weight lifting near the end of the semester and for the past 3 months i have been lifting and running. I really focused in on my dieting this past month and half.. Yet i really have not seen any significant loss i think i have lost another 5-10pounds in the past 3months. Which im happy about, but i stopped caring about weight loss and was hoping to lose inches since thats really wats important. Currently im 5ft 8inches and 188-190pounds. Unfortunately my body fat is still high 20-25%. and my body just wont cut the fat. The biggest disappointment has been my belly.. it has not shrunk. I dont really diet, i just eat healthy, and im good at math and i know i never go over 2000 calories any day, its usually 1500 daily.
I never wanted to try low carbs because i dont believe in fast fixes to getting healthy but it seems like most people on this site support this. I tried lowering my carbs just 1 day ( to a reasonable 80g) and i felt sick and felt like passing out most of the day. I dont know what to do... i know my exercise is there since ( i run 4miles twice a week, lift heavy/run 3 times a week, and do a hiit workout 1-2 times a week)
summer is almost done and i have not experienced the weightloss i hoped for, so i need recommendations, i do eat plenty of carbs but lately i have limited myself to whole grain and complex carbs only. I dont know what to eat, since i was raised with a high carb diet(indian diets are centered around carbs). I dont really eat indian food but i think my body depends on these carbs and cant cut them.
if u read this whole thing, thank you

Try tracking your intake for a few weeks. You could easily be getting more than you realize.
You need those complex carbs so go ahead and enjoy them in the range suggested by MFP.0 -
that was actually something i wanted to do... but i dont like doctors and im only 21.. so i never go in unless im sick, but lately i have been thinking about getting a checkup and bloodwork done.
but food wise, most of the stuff i have been eating is pastas, grilled chicken, omlettes, salads. and outside food its usually subway, chipotle, just other healthy options.
i know it takes time and everything ive been working on this for a year... i guess its just upsetting that im not seeing any similar results compared to the people on this site.
and exercise i know i workout 6times a day on cardio days its usually 45min and lifting days its 90min.0 -
Boost your water. With all the heat this summer,,, I think we are all suffering from dehydration.0
