  • i make apple chips in my oven. It satisfies my need for crunch (potato chip substitute) and is a little sweet - depending on which apple you choose. I've done Galas and Granny Smiths.

i always keep frozen broccoli on hand. When im looking for a salty cheesy snack i just boil some broccoli, put a half a serving of i cant believe its not butter and a pinch or two of cheese and it satisfies my cravings with only 125 calories

Fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, apples, pears, melon, banana, grapes)
Fresh veggies (carrots, sugar snap peas, broccoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, red or yellow bell pepper)
Hummus (easy to make if you have a food processor, or can be store bought in a variety of flavors - great with almost any fresh veggie)
1 Tablespoon of natural peanut butter (look for varieties where the only ingredients are peanuts and salt - no sugar; I will spread it on fruit or a slice of whole grain toast)
1/2 C Ricotta or Cottage cheese paired with fruit
    Yogurt
    String Cheese
    Handful of raw almonds
Small nonfat latte from Starbucks (100 cal)
    Hot tea (no sweetener)

    Mostly:
    - veggies and low fat dip
    - fresh fruits
    - yogourt
    - low fat cheese (cottage, brick, whatever!)
    - natural peanut butter on celeri
    - And I just discovered those dessert yogourts at just 35 cal...On my god..I would have them 3 times a day...:-)

Fit and Active makes Caramel rice snacks (Aldi distributes) 8 mini cakes are 60 calories. I like to put peanut butter on them with a cup of coffee.
