Hey Everyone,
I've had a friend backing me up when it comes to doing my workouts, I kinda needed someone other then myself to be accountable to and let me tell you its WORKING!
Here's my few questions:
1. I am on on Day 6 of the 30DS, I have done it everyday with know on an off and I kinda like it that way. Question is, before I start level 2 should I take 1 break day or just go right into it? *I looked at Level 2 and I kinda freaked myself out*
2. What workout video did you start with? and where did you go next? Im trying to get an idea of where I should go after this video...
3. Wanna share some of your success Stories? *pictures would be awesome, i know we all arent alike but its motivating*
Thanks Everyone

I am on day 6 as well. I take Saturdays off and I am giving myself a couple of extra days on each level. When I'm done 30DS, I think I may do another round of it, starting at level 2. And then try her Ripped in 30 video. After that I am going to try P90x or Insanity.0

1.) Just go right into the next level. I did it for 30 days straight (see before/after pics in my profile) and it really paid off. I did:
1 week- Level 1
2 weeks- Level 2
1 week- Level 3
2) I started with her 30-Day Shred video, and then moved on to Trouble Zones.
3) Success pics are in my profile! First before/after pic is 30-Day Shred, second is Trouble Zones.

When I first did 30DS I thought it was to me done 30 days, hence the name. But I now know you are to take a day off during the week. I did 10 days each level..... so w/taking a day off do 9 days every level, rest every 7th day. ??? I am now doing her Body Revolution, LOVE it!!! I'm on week 6.0

I did the 30 day shred as well, off and on. I wouldn't take more than a day break between levels, you don't want to fall backwards. I don't do the video everyday, I switched between that, Shred with weights (uses a kettleball) trouble spots, her 6 week 6 pack, and Shred extreme. I found I would get too bored doing the same thing every day.
Good luck.0 -
I didn't take time off, I just jumped into level 2, and hated it for 10 days. Some people skip level 2 because they hate it so much, but I wanted to do the program the way it was meant to be done - and if it's hard, that means I'm making that much more change happen with my body!
I did 30 Day Shred, then immediately followed it with Ripped. I didn't lose a single pound in that two months, but I love six inches off my waist alone. Totally worth it, and I have been away from it for a while but would like to do another cycle to trim my measurements down a bit more again.0 -
I took no breaks. Just went from Level 1 to Level 2 then on to Level 3. 30 Days straight. Then I did Ripped in 30. I don't have any pictures but I had great results with 30 DS. It really started my weight loss!0

I did it M-F, did Zumba on Saturdays & rested on Sundays. Jillian actually recommends (on her blog) that you take at least one rest day per week. I did level one for 8 days, then spent 11 days each on levels 2 & 3. After completing 30DS, I did Ripped in 30. I just started doing her Kickboxing FastFix DVD last week. I have results pics and stuff on my blog, here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/mariposa224 .
Wishing you much success!
ETA: My profile pic is me last summer & then after completing 30DS in May this year.0 -

Hey!
Yes I think you should take a rest day in-between weeks/levels. Rest days are important so be sure to take at least 1 day off per week (and Jillian also recommends this).
I personally started with Ripped in 30. I did that a few times actually and increased the weight I could lift as I got stronger. I also did Jillian's 6 week 6 pack and pretty much all of her other videos at least once or twice. What I like about her video's is that you can do them over and over and still get a great workout by increasing your weight or doing the harder modifications of the moves.
If you want to see my success with Jillian Video's here is a recent blog post I did:

This is the progress I made over the past year.... pretty much all I did was Jillian video's and running outside!0 -
Haven't done 30DS but I tried Ripped in 30 and it's fun & fast... just bought Kickbox Kickstart but haven't tried it yet ^_^;
Good luck!0 -
Thank so much for the advice/answers guys, and great success stories!0

I just finished the 30 Day Shred in 30 days. Did it EVERY DAY. It was hard, and my knees felt like crap, but it is GOOD. I lost a combined 6 inches between my waist, hips, and thighs. (2 in from waist, almost 2 in from hips, and 1 inch each from my thighs)
I thought about taking rest days, but I really wanted to try to do it in 30 days.0 -

I've done her Ripped in 30, then the 30DS ( i did this one in a 3 week program) and i'm now in wk2 of Ripped in 30 for the second time. i lost 2.5 lbs since i started. i;m excited that i don't have to do girl push-ups anymore. i got that depo provera shot just after i started exercising ( had a baby and didn't want anymore kids!!). and i hear from a lot of folks, including my docs that the shot makes you gain weight or i guess doesn't want the fat (stored energy if your "pregnant"). that sucker wears off next week and i hope to see some great improvement, will post pics. enough about me, the JM workouts definitely improved my endurance and my strength. Well, it's actually my work out time, Ripped in 30 here i come!0

I alternate the JM DVDs that I have. I do 30DS and Killer Buns and Thighs. I also have Banish Fat Boost Metabolism but I don't use that one as often.
I have respiratory and arthritis issues so I actually took almost 30 days for level one and then when I felt like it was getting easy I moved on to level 2, then we moved to a new house and I wasn't able to work out for two weeks so I'm back to level 1. I'll move back to level 2 probably tonight though. I take a day off when I feel like I need to, if my muscles are just not feeling it. Usually once a week.
edit: Also, any JM DVD lovers feel free to add me, it will be nice to have some people on my list who I have common workout routines with!! :-)0
