Eat the banana unless you've already had a LOT of fruit today. Bananas are high in sugar, as are all fruits, but they also come with nutrients.
As long as you are making an effort to be reasonable with your overall sugar intake, fruit (including bananas) is a perfectly healthy part of your diet.0 -
Don't listen to me much because I'm no expert, but as far as I know bananas are good because the protein it has. Of course, it depends of the quantity like everything, but I don't think a banana will be bad.0

Do not fear the fruit.
Your body WILL let you know when you've had too many fruits. Trust me.0 -

Bananas have a trace of protein, so they aren't terribly useful in that area, I'm afraid.
However, they do have a decent amount of potassium and a bit of Vitamin C, making them a decent "recovery" food after a workout, as long as you add a quality source of protein as well. A little peanut butter or a handful of almonds rounds out a banana quite nicely.0 -
I eat a banana almost everyday. I only eat ONE a day, but I definitely eat them. Bananas are good for you but they are more dense then, say, watermelon. But if you want to have a banana for a snack or to add some thickness to your smoothie, I say go for it!0

Sarcasm-meter not yet calibrated today. Both the OP and this reply are jokes, right?0 -

I eat one sometimes two bananas a day, and have lost belly fat. A lot of it, actually. I guess I'm unique and special snowflake.0

OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ATE (OR ARE GOING TO EAT) A BANANA!
I think it's a bunch of hype. Eat your banana....just not 6 of them in a sitting.
Like with anything, eat within moderation. :flowerforyou:
I'm pretty sure my bowl of ice cream I ate the other night trumps your banana.... :drinker:0 -

Is this some sort of innuendo?0 -

If this was a sarcasm/innuendo thread, the whole thing was weak!0 -
Your banana is lying to you. Find one that respects you enough to be honest0

LOL, is this from the ad that has a picture of a banana and "5 foods you should NEVER eat"? I hate that ad.
Eat the fruit.0 -
Yeah avoid the banana for belly fat. You should eat something like fried chicken instead.0

I once ate a banana.
...It was horrible...
I heard this rumbling sound the minute the banana hit my stomach.
Suddenly... Like a great rhinoceros on a stampede, my *kitten* BURST FORTH from my hot pants.
Friends don't let friends eat bananas.0 -

So you *kitten* yourself?0 -
If you eat it in reverse by pushing it up your bottom, it actually REDUCES belly fat. True!0

It's bad, eat a twinkie instead.
In all seriousness, a banana a day is fine! just make sure it fits into your calorie goal for the day.0 -
