Getting used to taking in pounds :)

I been trying to work out how many pounds I need to lose.

I have about 5-6 stone to lose so about 84lb to lose.

At my heaviest I weighed 277 and am now at 249 it's a long hard slog and I some times wonder if I will get there.
I know with the exercise I won't let it all creep back on.

Here's to myfitnesspal :)) xx

I know what you mean, I started out with about 70lbs (5st) to lose, and I am only 157cm tall!

Once I found the proper nutrient ratio (macros) for me, the weight has come off fairly quickly with only about an hour of exercise 3-4x per week. I lost 7lbs the first 3 months, but in the last 2.5 months I have lost over a stone!

How and what is this macros thing? I really struggle to lose weight any one would think I eat all day I don't, I go gym 4 times a week it's just the wrong foods and portion control.
I'm hoping that with this app I will get better control now.

macros is short for macronutrients, or the percentages of protein, fat, sugar, carbs, etc that you eat. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance 8 years ago, but it was reversed during my last pregnancy. Pretty sure it has come back now because it is HARD to lose weight with the MFP suggested percentages. I cut my carbs down to under 100g net ( total carbs minus fiber) per day and the weight started coming off!

Oh I see Sarah, I'm cutting down my carbs and hopefully that will help.

Thanks it's only taking me three years so far lol :)

I cannot see where cutting your carbs could possibly NOT help....It works for me :D
