ideas please

hi guys

ive just been on skooby's calculator and here is what is said based on working out 3 - 5 hrs a week

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) 1236

Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE 1915

Daily calories based on goal in step 6 1532 (this is to lose fat - 20% reduction in calories)

so does that mean i have to eat 1532 calories a day and not eat back by exercise calories that average around 400 each training session? that would mean im only netting 1132, isnt that too low?

thanks
janette

Correct. Your exercise is included in that goal so you can't eat it back. 1200 isn't a magic number of calories that you absolutely have to have. Aim for 1500 on workout days and 1200 on rest days and you should lose at about a pound a week. Given your BMR, I'm going to guess your a female. Females tend to have lower BMRs and a 12-1500 calorie diet isn't going to do any damage for you.

That sounds like the NET goal you are reaching towards. So, if you haven't exercised at all today, eat 1532, BUT if you exercise 200 calories worth eat 1732, which is a net of 1532.
Test it out, you may have to modify it but good starting place.
