I would say cut then bulk if you want them abs faster. Strength comes before size regardless, plus you can't gain muscle mass unless you eat more calories then you burn a day. I am in the same boat as you, I am close to a six pack, but just need to tone my stomach a little more, so I have been doing more ab workouts at the gym. I have been lifting for 3months and have made huge strength gains, but haven't really added any size just definition. This is while eating on a small deflict, running and lifting.0

So where is your BF%?
20s?
Teens?
Got any front and side pics so we can say "Yea" or "Nay"?0 -
Cut first, then bulk. You can gain strength cutting on the right program. I'm on about 800 cal a day deficit and have moved my deadlift from about 260 to 400lbs and squats from 200 to 330lbs in a little over 2 months.0

yes. You need to gain weight. No point in cutting until you are higher BF or have more muscle on your frame.
Just eat semi-clean and lift heavy. The rest will come in time0 -
My answer is don't cut.
I'd eat somewhere between TDEE and 10% above.
Start at:
135g protein
60g fat
Remainder in carbohydrate to reach TDEE or 10% beyond.
Lift hard.
EDIT: The purpose of the above isn't to get you abs. The purpose is to get you a good foundation of lean mass, get your lifting numbers up, and then cut later so you have something solid to cut to.0 -

This my friend.
I was hoping for muscle and strength gains with out adding BF at 2500-3000 cals a day. Hell with that, I was getting some strength gains but began to stall, and saw no size gain. So now I've changed my cals to 3000-4000.
To build you need to be in a surplus. Not to mention it will help you recover better as well. Dont worry so much about BF% while you add lean mass and lift. Hit your macros and drive on0 -
