i just found out about the website skinnygossip through another website that i frequent. it talks about models and celebrities how have gotten "fat" and gives tips about how to get skinny. i read comments from users that suggest that ways to keep healthy hair and nails even when starving yourself and that a person who is 5 foot 7 (like I am) should weight no more than 90 pounds.
the article that really bothered me attacked kate upton for being fat. her appearance is similar to mine and her body looks fairly great. their comments make me wonder where my need to be "skinny" comes from. how do you come to terms with your body no matter what size it is and understand when your search for thinner body is for health or because of a societal prejudice against heavier people?
