Hi there,
Have you ever tried price matching at your local Wal-Mart? I can usually buy groceries for my family of 4 for two weeks for about $120. I save about $20 - $40 every trip, sometimes more. They price match fresh fruits & veggies, meats, dairy, etc., just show them your sale flyers.
If you'd rather support a local family-owned store, just watch their flyers for sales & coupons. Try to pick one thing each shopping trip to stock up on. Before you know it, you can skip a week of shopping because you have enough ingredients on hand to make another week of meals! Love when that happens!
Also, it's worth the time & effort to sit down & write out a menu before you go so that you stick to your list & have all the ingredients you need to make healthy meals for you and your family.
Hope this helps!
Believe me, in this economy many of us can relate to your situation!0
