how to set realistic goals?

I am trying to figure out what my ideal weight would be. I now have a goal to lose 25lbs. But I can't ever remember a time when I was any smaller than 15lbs less than what I am now. I was happy at that weight but still wanted to be a little smaller. Any tools for setting an accurate and realistic goal? How do I get a ticker to track my loss... I have just started using the food and exercise tracker for the first time today and I love it... so happy to see Canadian foods!

First off, welcome.
Secondly, this is actually a pretty good goal weight calculator: (forgive me, I think your profile said "female". . .I think this one is female specific)

But, bear in mind it's just a guideline. . .and take it from an oldster, try your hardest not to get too hung up on the numbers.0 -
Welcome to the site. Okay, weight goal really depends on height and bone structure as well as age. I am 49 years old, female, medium bulid,5'0" tall; my weight should be between 98 to 123 pounds. I hope this helps. God Bless, Brenda0
