banana allergy

So I'm allergic to bananas and it's infuriating! Almost all the healthy breakfast and snack recipes I've been reading call for bananas. Is there something I can substitute for them? Like in banana bread...obviously, I could do zucchini bread, but what about applesauce instead? Or in smoothies? And pancakes...banana pancakes! I consider myself pretty wise in the kitchen, but I'm stumped here.

Bananas kill, but we used to smoke the peels...in dry times only! :)

    You could try this:

how about pumpkin? it is great as bread and with spices would probably be good in a smoothie...now I got to try it too. I like banana but it still gets old.

I would think that anything with a similar sweetness and texture as mashed bananas would be fine. Applesauce, pumpkin, zuchinni, mashed blue hubbard squash (yum!)... You might have to play around with some of the other ingredients, like sweetners and liquid, but you should be okay.

Pumpkin is great in smoothies! It gives it the same consistency that a banana would.
