For the last four months I've been tracking my period, and its been mostly like clockwork (given a day or two.) My boyfriend and I are sexually active but I had not been on birth control.....he'd just been puling out but we've been fine for nine months. Last week I finally got a birth control prescription (finally got insurance for a docs visit) and my doc told me to take my first pill the first day I started my period, which was suppose to be the twelve. So I wait till the twelve, then the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth.....still no period, and I still hadn't taken my first pill. I took my first one yesterday and one today, but no period has come. I took a pregnancy test today and it wad negative. Anyone know why my period was missed even before I took my first pill? (I'm not stressed, tired, eating different, etc.)

I would go to the doctor for a lab test.

I'm assuming they did a BetaHcG test before giving you the Rx for birth control?

Wait a few more days, take another prego test.

    If positive, see the doctor.
    If negative, see the doctor.

Also, I know that starting a new or intense workout regime can put your cycle out of whack as well. But just to be sure you need to be tested, it takes a few days for HCG to show up in urine, so a blood test may be necessary.

Not to scare you, but good-luck!!!!!!!!

That is the blood test for pregnancy that most doctors will do before giving birth control. It's far more accurate (early on) than a urine test.

If you started your pill pack before your period, you may skip it entirely this cycle or have some mid cycle spotting. And that's fine. But yes, retest in a few days since you were late anyways.

Ps. Pull n pray makes lots of babies. So yeah for birth control. Lol
