spring rolls made with rice paper??

How do I do it? I would prefer veggies..and does anyone know what the rice paper tastes like?? I'm assuming it is good for you.

So, I make them all the time,
I made this because my friends wanted to know how to make them. The rice paper (Tapioca sheets work BEST) is mostly tasteless, or tastes similar to plain rice.

its super easy, just buy the rice paper sheets, boil some water, dump it in a shallow dish and place the sheets in it for a few seconds (until they aren't hard anymore) pull the sheets out, stretch them on a flat surface and add any veggies you like inside and roll them up. usually my family and i shred and dice the vegetables into very small pieces and make some sort of spicy black bean sauce for drizzling inside and as dip. hope that helps!0

If you haven't had one before I would go to a Thai or Vietnamese restaurant and try one first to make sure you like it before you go and buy the stuff. I can't get rice papers at a normal grocery store around here, I have to go to an Oriental grocery. I'd hate for you to go buy a pack of 50 of them and hate them, even though they are not that expensive. They really don't taste like much of anything, the filling and the dipping sauces are what gives the roll flavor.
Tons of spring roll recipes out there...google spring roll or summer roll. Allrecipes.com has a bunch too. They are my favorite!!!0 -
Rice paper is generally tasteless. You may shred carrots, cucumber, radish, add bean sprouts if you like, add a bit of sauce eg chilli if you like, or soya sauce if you want a little salt, sweet sauce if you like it sweet. For a heartier meal, addd brown rice like a shushi, Add whatever you like, its quite versatile.0
