Beating my plateau!

Okay, so I spent about three weeks diligently sticking to my diet and not losing a pound! Then the last two weekends, I've fallen off the wagon at least one day of the weekend - by as much as 1,000/1,300 calories - and suddenly found myself losing again! I actually got past my 'plateau' for the first time this morning!

What's it about, though?

Was my metabolism slowing down to make up for eating less? Did I kickstart it by going off my diet?

It was only one or two days - I stuck my diet Monday to Friday.

  • I've heard from a lot of poeple that increasing your calorie intake durning a platua does help boost your metabolism and helps you start losing again. That why few people hit platues when zig zagging aka calorie shifting!

A very wise man gave me that very advice to get my weight loss moving again ( thanks SHBoss:happy: )

I have been eating more the last few days but am not stepping on the scale for a week or two to see what happens then
  • My sister in law is a body builder. When I asked her what to do to get over a plateau, she said eat. Your body goes into starvation mode, thinking you are not going to feed it and it holds onto every calorie you consume. Sounds crazy I know, but it works. Now I try to have one "cheat meal" per week, whatever I want. Last week, not a good choice, Mexican. It got me to losing weight again, but my body was not used to all of the fat anymore so I didn't feel great afterwards, but I have to admit, it was great while I was eating it. Haha!
