I am making this tuna cheese spread and the great thing is that the recipe gives me the nutritional info "per serving"...the problem is it says that the recipe yields 4-6 servings but it does not give me the serving size!! :grumble: suggestions?

This is what you could do....if it serves 4-6 split the difference to 5. Once you have it together, divide into 5 equal portions, and then weigh or measure to the portion size. At least it will give you an idea of the portion size.

I have to do this sometimes also--determine the serving size. For example, I make my own salsa, so I added all the ingredient details together and then measured the total amount I had, decided on what I thought a serving was and used that as my guide. I just reread your entry and it's a little different than that. Let's say the whole thing is 600 calories and you used 6 as the serving guide, each would be only 100 calories but if you used 4 as the serving guide, then it would be 150 calories, a big difference. That's a very good question???? The suggestion of using 5 as the number of servings probably gives you the closest estimate and I'll remember that when I look up things on my own. Thanks to everyone who is paying attention to small things like this. Boy, the universe just doesn't make it easy for us sometimes, does it. :grumble:
