why is there such a diffrence in calories in an egg and how it is prepared? If I poach an egg i boil it in water. If I hard boil an egg i boil it in water. If i cook an egg in zero calorie cooking spray there is a diffrence in calories of a hard boiled or paoched egg. So what is the calories of an egg?:grumble:

I believe that 1 large egg is 70 calories. At least, that's what's on the nutrition info on my Egglands Best container.
When I add them to my food diary, I add the info for the raw egg, and then if I've added anything else to cook it (butter/oil/milk/cheese) I add that seperately.0 -
70 cals.
Just put an egg down
And add whatever else you used with it. Like for me, I put two eggs and a quarter tbsp of coconut oil when I fry them up in the AM.0 -
There is no difference, it's 70 calories.
If you add anything else while preparing it (oil, butter, etc.) list it separately in your diary. Zero calorie cooking spray doesn't count.0 -

This is what I do. I list one raw egg (70 calories) for hard boiled, soft boiled, poached, or any preparation...fat it is cooked in for fried or scrambled gets entered separately.0 -
thanks for all your help.0
