Sticking to 1200 calories a day

I've just started mfp and I'm finding it really hard most days to stick to my suggested 1200 calories a day. Should I still eat if I'm not hungry? Surely we should be listening to our bodies too I don't want to stuff myself and feel uncomfortable.

Any tips and advice will be helpful!!!!
