A tasty treat I found

Lately I have been eating Larabar's at work for a snack. The are reasonably tasty and have nothing that bothers me allergy wise. Last night I bought enough to last me next week and bought one of these Raw Oranic Food Bars. I really didn't think much about it other than it would be something new to try. Well I loved it. It was like getting a candy bar without the guilt. Granted they aren't exactly really low in calories but it was very satisfying and the fiber was really high on it. I had over 400 calories left last night so I needed to add something. It tasted a little like honey. But had the texture of a caramel with some nuts. If you are looking for something different you might like it.

My favorite treat, which I smuggle over the border every time I go back to the states for a visit (shhhhhh, don't rat me out)
Are Clif Nectar bars. Chocolate Walnut flavor.

Also, have you tried the "Bumble Bars" they're high calorie but one of my favorite treats (sort of like a bit-o-honey in the taste.)

I am addicted to pistachio Larabars. One is in my purse at all times. If I close my eyes and imagine, they taste like baklava.:flowerforyou:

 Oh good I bought one of those Clif Nectar bars too. Now I have something to look forward too. I went to Costco and got the Lara bars but I found some different flavors yesterday, I can't wait to try out.

Like Ginger Snap, Banana cookie, Cashew cookie and Cocoa Mole. I didn't see a pistachio I will have to keep my eyes out for that one.

The Bumble bars are good. I saw some Ginger candies I want to try too.
  • Thanks for this post and the info. I've been needing to find some good bars for traveling and hiking (if the snow ever melts  )

    I'll be checking these out.
