Can someone explain to me what it is and how it interacts with whey, and is it necessary?

its not necessary and whey has nothing to do with creatine. whey helps repair/rebuild muscle. Creatine fills up your muscle and takes in water and helps give you another rep (energy). this is just a short answer and its much more complex.0
