Newbie from Puerto Rico

Hi all! I'm from Puerto Rico and it is very frustrating to live in a place where one can go to the beach all year round and still be as pale as a ghost because I refuse to wear a bathing suit. Was born in the States but moved to PR when I was 6, so basically I have lived here all my life. I used to surf, but all of that stopped, and I started gaining weight.
Well Im 41 years old, next month Ill be 42, but I still feel young! Im a teacher and a clarinet player. I bought a treadmill yesterday so hopefully I can find some friends to keep me motivated and for me to do the same for them.
I weigh 230lbs as of today but I have already lost 16 lbs. And if you ever find yourself traveling to Puerto Rico you can have a place to crash. Have a wonderful day!
