Up Five Pounds calories between 1300-1700 each day?

I am becoming so frustrated! I am 5'8 and was 164.6 two days ago. Currently I am 169.2. I do about 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training 5-6 days a week. I watch my sodium and my carbs, and over the past couple of days,I have been steadily gaining?! It isn't that TOM, so what the heck is it?
