I'm having difficulty finding reliable/verified nutritional information about juicing vegetables and fruits. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

While you're hear, what do you think of juicing?

i think it's just an easier way to get in a good volume of fruit/veggies for some people. fresh squeezed is supposed to be better for you healthwise also, i think it just plain tastes better. orange carrot is my personal favorite, and it's not something i thought i'd like before i tried it.

Watch Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. Also google Joe Cross. That should lead you in the right direction.

I think juicing has amazing health benefits. I have a Vitamix though so I do green smoothies. Either method is an amazing way to get a huge amount of produce into your system. This morning I got 3/4 lb of spinach, blueberries and a banana in for breakfast... Which would be a tough chew in its full form.

I don't like it. I just dont see the point. Eating for me is better than drinking. It's much more satisfying.. Same thing with smoothies. Why put into liquid form a cup of spinach, a cup of berries, and a cup of yogurt when you can eat them whole?

    i love juicing.

i like to juice the things I don't want to eat in large portions like parsley, ginger, celery, greens, beets, etc.

All the other things like fruits, cucumber, carrots and apples I save for snacks. They're tasty so I wanna eat them. Not so much with the veggies mentioned above.

I wouldn't recommend going on juicing diets but incorporating it into your daily regiment (though it can be cumbersome to juice daily)

Oh yes, I am not planning to replace meals with juicing, just supplement my daily diet to include more veggies and fruits.

I love it first thing in the morning. It is a jolt to get 100% nutrition into your body and I don't rely on coffee to do that. It was once a necessity. I still drink it, but not as much and just for pleasure and not need. I've been smoothie-ing for 7 months and love it!!

I have a juicer, but not the time to juice in the morning and I'd like to take a fresh juice to work with me. Is it OK to juice the night before and store it in an airtight container in the fridge, ready for the morning?

How long can juices last if you're not able to drink it straight away? I know that it loses nutrients the longer it's left.

They are okay for 24 hours as long as they are refrigerated. It doesn't taste as good as fresh, but it's a great option.
