There have been a few posts recently about working out and eating healthy being to expensive. I thought a single thread with some solutions might go down well.

For exercise....

Running - outside it is free, High schools usually let you use their track if you have no where else safe to run. You might want to consider good sneakers though.
Cycling - yard sales are a great place to get a cheap bike, you don't need a $2000 bike to get on the local trail
Weights - start with water bottles, as you progress, a holdall with added weight in it works well.
Exercise DVD's/Books - Check out the local library, they are a free and LEGAL way to get the DVD's/books

For Food....

Buy in bulk and freeze - If you break it down into portion sizes before you freeze it it makes portion control very easy when you cook
Shop around for veggies - Some people suggest farmers markets, some their local store, either way show around, look for the specials, look for the stuff nearing the end of its life, especially if you can use it that day
Never throw away left overs - If you cooked with the right portions there shouldn't be left overs, but if they are, save them and put them in the fridge, its amazing what combinations you can stirfry
If you can't make it portion sized, make enough to freeze - Meatloaf, soups, etc. all freeze well, if you like something, make the recipe for 8 and freeze it in individual zip lock bags, easy quick dinner when you get in from work.
Take lunch to work - A lot of food doesn't need to be refrigerated to last till lunch time (or you keep it in a bag with a couple of cold bottles of water), but the food you prepare at home will be cheaper and healthier than the food you have to buy out.

Please add any other easy money saving things, money shouldn't be the reason to not be healthy

(Yes to do all of the exercises perfectly and when you get addicted you might want to get equipment, but it is not needed to get started)

Parking as far as you can away from the store and walking in. Sounds silly but extra steps means calories burnt and that is always useful!
