I have a problem with my hip and can only exercise when it is not flaring up. Usually exercising causes it to flare up. I don't have access to a pool without driving for 30 minutes to get there, or I would just swim. I can walk sometimes, but between my hip and my heart murmur, this too can be difficult. Any ideas?

Hi Katweeks63,
I have an issue with my hip too. Something to do with the muscle surrounding the sciatic nerve which flares up after walking or twisting/turning the wrong way. I bought a vibration plate machine and am doing exercises (sort of like pilaties poses) without pain. I've only had the machine for a week now, but so far so good. Really working up a good sweat. I would suggest you might do the research on the internet...see what you think. Keep in touch and I'll keep you posted.
