Is it possible to lose 10lbs (or even more) in five weeks?
if so, what do i need to do to achieve this?
My current daily calorie intake goal is 1200.
All advise, tips and information will be much appreciated.
Thank you?

Yes it's possible if you're motivated to the max.
I can't give specific advice especially since I don't know your starting weight and stuff like that, but I once lost 10 pounds in 5 (horrible) days using Optislim.
You know the very low cal milkshakes?
Yeah, those ones. I don't recommend it, I can still remember that awful week.
I kept it off though, so I made it worth it.0 -
((TDEE - BMR)/2) + BMR = Goal Calorie Intake
If ((TDEE - BMR)/2) < 1000, then exercise
If ((TDEE - BMR)/2) + exercise > 1000, eat more.
5 weeks, 10lbs, fat loss. Water levels may vary so the scale may show more/less.0 -
I looked at your profile and looks like you only have about 10 lbs to lose. So, although it is POSSIBLE, it probably won't be easy- or healthy. Since you don't have much to lose, 2 lbs a week is pretty aggressive. A person that is more overweight will burn more calories in a day and therefore will have an easier time having a 1000 calorie a day deficit- which is what you need to lose 2 lbs in one week. I would suggest googling a calorie calculator and calculate how many calories you need to maintain your current weight (entering height, weight, age, etc) and set your activity level at sedentary. I'm 5'5, 124 lbs and mine is about 1650 calories a day. Meaning, if I were to do not much more than get out of bed and get in the car to go to work I would need 1,650 calories to keep weighing 124 pounds. SO, if I wanted to lose 2 lbs a week, I would need to net 650 calories a day. Which means eat less and exercise more. I would say eat 1200 calories and exercise to burn at least 450 calories a day and DON'T eat your exercise calories back. This really isn't a healthy way to do it, but your body would probably be ok for a short time period before you get super cranky and tired from not enough calories. Also, keep in mind that as soon as you start eating more or exercising less you will likely put at least some of that weight back on.
Hope this helps, and sorry if I have given more information than you needed or already knew- just wanted to be thorough.0 -
I once lost 7 pounds in a weekend. Here's how I did it.
I made buttermilk pancakes, from scratch, with spoiled buttermilk. I then spent the rest of the weekend with a bucket in my lap while sitting on the toilet. With the amount of weight you want to lose compared to your weight, 2 pounds a week is extrememly agressive, I might leave the milk out now for tomorrow's breakfast.0 -
I started taking Raspberry ketones and pure green coffee bean supplements and I think they are helping me lose weight a lot faster than I normally would with diet and exercise alone, plus they give me energy. Look up the Dr.Oz clips on you tube about them. I have lost 5 lbs in 8 days.0

off topic but exactly can one tell when buttermilk is spoiled? it already looks and tastes spoiled to me as soon as i buy it0 -
It is possible, but more than likely you will lose like 6 or 7. If in your 1200 calories you are really, really acurate nad don't eat any sweets, white bread, potatos and get into a walking and jogging routine everyday, you might get to 10 lbs. Its up to you, but either way you will make a good dent in the 10 lbs. If you walk and then jog and then walk and then jog and keep that routine up everyday, you will see you are walking less and jogging more. And if at the end of the 2 weeks you don't lose the whole 10 lbs, you will see your clothes will fit better because you will lose inches!!

I have lost 25 pounds in 21 days. But that is with 370 minutes of cardio each week, and for me an 1800 calorie a day diet, with most days being at 600 net calories for the day after my exercise is factored in. It can be done.0

The only hint I had was the sell by date I neglected to read. Well that and the food posioning, but I would have rather known BEFORE I poisoned myself and my wife. Thankfully we hadn't started feeding my daughter any solid food yet. Would have made a bad weekend MUCH MUCH WORSE0 -
It depends a lot on how much you have to lose. If you're obese, then it's probably quite achievable. If you're already a healthy weight and only have 10 lbs to lose - it's going to be much harder and is unlikely to happen in 5 weeks.0
