high protein diet without the cholesterol

So, I have heard the benefits of eating a higher protein diet to feel full and burn fat. This can be my only option since I must avoid eating too much fiber as it interacts with the Synthroid I take. However, I have noticed that I have problems staying within my cholesterol limits when I focus on eating high protein foods. Obviously, I don't want to loose weight only to create a cholesterol problem that does not exist. Any advice on what to eat or drink to bulk on protein without so much cholesterol?

Meat or animal products are higher in cholesterol than plant based, obviously. So, opt for vegetarian forms of protein like legumes.
Fish and egg whites would also be a good bet.0 -
Most protein powders (milk based, soy based, or egg based) don't have any or much cholesterol. Plant proteins usually come from healthful foods, but they can be higher in carbs as well making it may be tough to hit your macros if you're getting them from whole food sources such as beans and soy products.
For most people eating the right carbs and fats is more important than dietary cholesterol for your overall levels and your HDL/LDL ratio.
I probably eat 250g of protein/day and around 400mg cholestrol according to MFP, and my cholestrol was 123 last time I was checked.0 -
Thanks for the feedback, Amanda and Taylor. I definitely will look into a lower cholesterol protein powder and eating less meat-based and more plant-based cholesterol. Also, will make sure that I am eating good quality food.0
