I been trying to help my husband loose some weight but for some reason he has not. He does go to the gym five times a week and works out on weights and a bit of cardio yet he is not loosing any weight nor inches. Can anyone help. I make his meals as healthy as I can and try to monitor what he eats. He does take supplements. I just don't know what to do unless I am doing something wrong please advice

What is his weight, height, and age?
Does he have a profile here so we can see his calorie intakes?
We need to know his BMR, his TDEE, and how many calories he is eating per day.0 -
Why is he taking supplements and what kinds?0

I'm so sorry but YOU can't control his weight. it's nothing that you're doing wrong. He is probably eating more than he tells you. Maybe he should increase his cardio? Suggest that to him.0

He needs to do more cardio and eat less, he may be cheating when you're not looking!0

He is 5'-8" last time we checked the scale he was 295 and he is 27 yrs old. He does not have a profile here. I tried to suggest it but he said he does not want to. The supplements he takes Ill have to check when I get home because its so many of them0

That maybe true I did see some mcdonald wrappers on tuesday and I caught a sonic cup on his lunch box monday ......supposedly his brother was hungry so they ate there. Must talk to the brother to stop that.0 -

The ideal weight range for a male, 5 feet 8 inches tall is between 125-158 pounds.
I am a 25 year old 5' 8" tall male as well, I weigh 145 pounds which puts me in the "normal" range at 22 BMI (body mass index).
Here is a great chart to look at and show him, maybe to help with motivation!

By supplements do you mean vitamin supplements like multivitamin pills or body building supplements like protein powder and creatine?0 -

It is all about calories in Vs. Calories out
I'd lose the protein supplements, He doesn't need near as much protein as the weight lifting society wants him to think he does. Each shake he is consuming is probably adding 200-300 calories to his daily total. He needs to focus on losing the excess weight now, and bulking up on muscle later.
He is in the highest level of obesity according to his BMI and those protein shakes combined with Fast food, and constant eating is only going to make him gain more weight, not slim down.0
