Any suggestions for some healthy "car meals" that can be eaten on the way home from work? I have thought of protein bars, nuts, and light string cheese. What else would you suggest?
Thanks!

I've heard of hard boiled eggs being ok... but mostly bumping this because I would like to know as well.

So you are looking for snack type foods and not proper meals? When I travel for work, Starbucks ends up being my saving grace on the road since they are everywhere (airports, smaller towns, big cities, etc.) and they have an awesome Protein Plate that isn't some sodium laden artificial food bomb like many fast food choices out there. It is a hardboiled egg, cheese, grapes, apple slices, and a pouch of natural peanut butter for something like 300 calories. I sometimes bring my own homemade "protein plate" to work. Just take a reusable container and put in any of the above. I also like celery w/peanut butter and raisins or hummus with and veg to dip in it.

I'm a big car meal eater. I guess it depends on what kind of diet you prefer to eat. Fruit is obvious (apple, banana, something easy to bite into) and just take something to hold the core/peel/etc. until you can throw it away. I like to eat turkey sausage. You can also do a low fat English muffin with sugar free jam or nut butter. I also did low carb for a while and would drive to work eating a chicken breast. Hardboiled eggs are pretty easy to eat if you have a napkin around it in case any of the yolk falls out. You could also drink a protein shake you make from home. Those are super easy to drink in your car.
