Would love to see some success stories to keep me motivated! Just getting started. 5'4" tall. Very curvy body (at least it once was, now it has ripples). Would love some before and after pics to help motivate too with any suggestions, workouts, etc. Thanks a bunch!

I don't have a success story but a I hope to be one ha ha. I am 49 yrs old, 5 ft 4 in, curvy wih some ripples now( i smiled when I read your post- you sound just like me). I am just getting started too. I've been a member of MFP since Sept. 2011 but just couldn't get motivated. I am getting a fresh start since last week. I am trying to eat as many whole foods as possible- lots and lots of fruits and veggies, some lean meat, very little white bread and pasta. The only bread and pasta I eat are whole grain of reduced carb. So far it is going great. I'm feeling full most of the time and staying at or under my 1300 cal daily limit. My goal is to lose 70 lbs.0

Hopefully we can be success stories about the same time! Good for you! Keep up the good work. Started last week and doing well so far on the eating side of things, but need to start doing some workouts. Have a trip planned at the beginning of September and in a wedding (with a bunch of 20 somethings) at the end of September. Plus turn 41 that month! WOW, big month! Would love to look good standing up there with those youngsters! lol0

Hi and thanks for adding me - I have a good 40+ to lose - more like 51 from my starting weight! but hey I have lost 4lbs after weighing in today so that is a good start lol - I too want to look good standing next to young ones - not in a scary cougar way tho lol!! I have 4 kids aged from 27 to 14 and want to be around a good while for them! I find the exercise hard - living in Ireland we are prone to alot of rain - it has been the worst summer on record here and just not stopped! I enjoy going out walking with the dogs and my youngest daughter but on the treadmill I find it boring! arghhh! any motivation would be good!!! I really want to develop a proper healthy lifestyle where I no longer yo-yo diet but have a nutritious diet and enjoy it without needing all the bad things that helped me gain weight!! and I have to say 41 is not so bad - been there and got the t shirt lol - dreading Jan when I tip over to the dark side of being closer to 50 than 40!!!!! Anyway hugs and congrats at your 8lb loss to date and what sort of diet plan are you following if any and what types of exercise are you doing? x0

Sorry it's so small, when I readjust the size it becomes blurry. I was about 168 pounds in my before photo, I am now at 121.0 -
WOW! You look great! How long did it take to lose? And what kind of exercise/diet? Looking for all the info I can find! Thanks!0

I've lost 40 since April and would like to lose 35 more (to get to 125ish, I'm 5.1).
Feel free to add me - I'm always looking for motivated MFP friends!0 -
So far just watching what I eat and when. Getting rid of sugar (my favorite friend in the world)! And trying to get some exercise! Anything is more than I was doing. Doing low impact aerobics at least three days a week and trying to walk/hike 2 miles a day when I can. Keeping my mouth shut and my fingers crossed.....and my *kitten* moving!0

I started running with Couch to 5K, and I am now on to Bridge to 10K (was never a runner btw) I like Jillian's dvd's Yoga Meltdown and 30 Day Shred, I also go to www.skinnyms.com for other exercise. My diary and profile are open so feel free to have a look. I've been at this just over a year and have 3 pounds to go to goal.0

And for the record I've not given up anything I didn't want too. You'll see when you view my diary!!! LOL0
