Newbie to MFP....but not to WeightTraining

I love to lift weights....and for the longest time..just lifted and never really paid attention to the diet side other than meat and potatoes.
So for the last month....changed that and love it so far.....goal priority as follows:
Power
Loss in waistline > loss in weight
More energy
40 year old married guy, two daughters, small college math professor, living just north of Dallas, TX
