C25K app or other Cardio Workouts with Asthma

Has anyone tried using a couch to 5k app? I installed it recently and haven't started it in fear that my asthma will keep me from being able to do it. I was trying the Insanity workout, but I would have to stop less than 10 minutes in. I would like to be able to run and burn fat while not feeling like i'm dying.

Does anyone else have this problem? or have any suggestions?
