Are you taking care of your skin, teeth, hair and also your mental being? They are a big part of the lifestyle change too.

It's interesting you mention this....Since I have been eating healthier and on this journey I have started taking a vitamin eveyday, I went on the internet and learned how to make homemade moisturizing hair masks, teeth, no change there, skin...I have purchased some eye cream and some moisturizing body lotion which I am getting good at remembering now, mental..I feel better mentally in many ways because I feel in control, I even have a daily house tidy up routine now..my house was questionable before:laugh: . Before, I would never have thought of doing these extras!

    Great subject!

I've noticed this week that many people are going to the dentist for the first time in years. We are so lucky to have access to affordable dental care. If the teeth and gums aren't healthy, it affects your whole body, and can even cause infections around the heart.

I am a fanatic believer in the (French) skin-care line at L'Occitane. They support and help women (and men) create businesses to grow the organic products they use. They give a portion of all sales to charity, and their packaging has Braille....and the products are awesome.

Hair. I am going to vacation on an island, I want to work my swimming muscles but don't want chlorine-hair. So I'm doing kick-board laps. Again, L'Occitane hair products. YUMMY.

    Hair mask

1/2 banana, one-two tablespoons of olive oil, 1/2 cup of mayo, one egg, two tablespoons of honey. Mix and apply to hair especially the roots, comb through if you can, it is difficult and mashed bananas fly everywhere, just get it on all of your head:laugh: put hair in a loose bun if you have long hair and put a grocery store bag tied over it. keep on for an hour then wash and condition hair as usual. I also added a rinse after that one tablespoon of honey to one litre of water. When you are done your washing pour the rinse over your hair and donnot rinse out, the honey supposedly seals the cuticles for less frizz and locks in moisture. I did notice more shine and softness after this mask and rinse, but not a whole lot of extra moisture my hair still did get a bit frizzy throughout the day anyway, but I have dryyyyyyy hair from colouring it every four weeks. I plan to do this every week to two now, it's cheap and natural which is always a good thing.

Gosh, you could probably post this in the "Recipe" section under a different name and someone would eat it!

    Hi,
Ultraswim shampoo is great--it removes the chlorine after you swim. I use it on my suit also

Would it benefit chemically treated hair? I don't swim.

The bottle says: "For all types of hair, including permed, lightened, or color-treated hair." I get it the drug store (Long's).

It cracks me up that on an "eating-problem" type website, that we even use food to help our hair problems.
