If you've got an Entemann's discount store by you, they sell this for like $1.29...the only way I'll buy it, way too pricey in the grocery store for me.0

Until you read the ingredient list ;(0

ya but its helped my dieting0
-
How does it have only 45 calories? Is the bread just sliced more thinly or is the first ingredient on the list minced cardboard?0

What's not yummy about:

Sweet. HFCS and Enriched flour....0

Sliced thinly. I've had it and its pretty good. I agree with the ingredients comment, but good for people who are calorie counting and not clean eating as much.0

Not sure how wide spread it is, but keep your eye out for Daves Killer Bread, natural and organic ingredients many varieties. Best part is it's delicious too!
Edit: can't stand my own typos.0 -
P28 bread is my new favorite!0

I used to swear by the Sara Lee 45 calorie bread until I discovered the slim multi-grain sandwich rounds which only have 10 more calories per sandwich. I still use the Sara Lee when making a grilled sandwich.0
-
I guess some of these people make their own bread............
And... I have a loaf in the freezer and it's no thinner than a regular slice of bread.0 -
There's a bread at Hannafords that is 35 cal a slice, Its the store brand light wheat0
-
Have you ever tried Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread? It has 14g of whole grains per slice, no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors, and no high fructose corn syrup. And it's delicious!0

Don't let all these "must eat 'clean' people" rain on your parade.
I actually have been enjoying D'Italiano Light Italian Bread for 40 calories per slice. Its not super thin sliced and tastes wonderful. Village Hearth as well as a few others carry similar light italian and other types.
I grew up eating only white bread so switching to wheat and other dark breads is very difficult for me. The textures are funny and the flavor isn't exactly something I care for either.
I know white bread, or even the italian bread isn't the best for me, but I've cut a lot of calories by switching to the light italian and I don't really eat bread often anymore so the "bad" stuff is kept at a minimum. Its a whole heck of a lot better than how I was eating a year ago, lemme tell ya!0 -
josephs flax pitas all the way.0

eat all the bread you want to eat as long as it's sliced so thin it only has one side.0
-
I used to eat that kind of bread. 2 slices for 90 cals, I thought, YEA!
It is $5 a loaf, though.
So now I buy store brand wheat bread (I happen to shop at Kroger/Fry's)
2 slices for 110 cals. $0.99 a loaf.
For me, the $4 is more important than 20 calories.0 -
I used to do schwebels light wheat bread at 35 calories a slice. Then I ate some normal 12 grain bread at my bf's because it's all he had and I realized all the flavor I've been missing! So now I buy that and if I'm really concerned about the bread I just eat half a sandwich, it's worth it fr the flavor.0

There's the super cheap brand at Safeway for 45 calories a slice, $0.99~
Poor college student can't afford the luxuries of "good bread" ;P.0 -

Humph, yeah...what? No, well, that bread has been out like FOREVER! There are even some 40 cal per slice breads. Another MFP "Discovery" It's amazing what "we" Discover when the NEED Arises. NECESSITY>>>The Mac Daddy of DISCOVERY!
ETA: For those who like a FULL and Thick Slice of Bread, Whole Wheat>>>Nature's Own make a Whole Wheat Full Size Slice with ONLY 50 Calories each, and it is CHEAP. Really GOOD!0 -
Arabic bread is awesome and lo-cal and pretty inexpensive. Great with trader joes eggplant and garlic spread and stuffed with veggies and a thin slice of muenster cheese.0

I also watch calories and I feel Im doing ok .I dont do the clean eating thing and Im glad people can, right now Im more concerned with getting pounds off.I love the 35 calorie bred because I am a bread eater so 2 slices for one is a better option for me also.It is a little thinner but have ate it so ong now regular bead seems too thick. So enjoy your bread if we looked at all ingredients in everything we wouldnt have much to eat .0

I like the sara lee bread because it's low carb. 9 net carbs per 2 slices of bread (4g of fiber). So when I really want bread (maybe once a week, or once every two weeks) I get some out of the freezer and eat it.0

I try to eat only "Food for Life" products like Ezekiel, 7 Sprouted grains, etc and whole grain bread without HFCS and Preservatives etc.. That being said, as a fitness trainer who specializes in nutrition and supplementation as well as the exercise aspects of the trade, I have to say that fitness and health usually come in increments. You are doing well to cut the cals and lose the weight and you should feel good about that. I really do stress eating the healthier choices to my clients and those I counsel. I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't. But I also would rather see them doing something to further their health than nothing. You may never join the ranks of the totally healthy eater but you can keep going and join the ranks of the healthy weight people and that is probably more important to your health and fitness right now than whether you eat HFCS or enriched flour. You can make that decision later as the whole healthy living thing becomes more a part of your thinking and life. If you never do make that decision I still want to encourage you in your weight loss efforts. Feel free to add me as a frien if you like and anyone else who would like to add me please do so. I am not a active at posting to other people's activities as I would like but I do look at their progress and try to comment every so often. If you have any specific questions just send me a message and I will answer you back to the best of my knowledge and training. Be blessed!!!0

party foul!
you cant "that's what she said" yourself :laugh:0 -
When I eat bread I use Nickles 35 calorie wheat bread, but when I do eat bread I've limited myself to only 1 slice, like I'll do half a sandwich, otherwise I go overboard. I'm a bit of a carb addict...0
