Feeling so hopeless and discouraged :/

I feel like I'm never going to get the body I want. It seems like no matter what I do nothing makes a difference. I don't want to lose a bunch of weight, since I'm at a healthy weight, but I just want to decrease my body fat percentage.. it's currently at 24% and I'd like to get it down to about 16% for now, and I want to get toned. But there is no difference in my body no matter what I do.. I go to the gym everyday and I have been doing the brazilian butt lift workout so for a while I would be working out quite intensely, for about 3 hours each day. I stick to the amount of calories I should be eating to lose weight most of the time, but there has been a few days when I have binged. After about a month of doing this, I didn't lose any weight, which wouldn't be so bad if I was losing inches which I'm not.. I did lose 3 inches on my chest but no where else! Which is not what I want, I wouldn't mind losing inches off my chest if I was losing inches else where too. But I find it especially hard to stick to exercising and eating well because I've been so busy and stressed.. I am taking a class right now which is quite rigorous and takes up all of my time, since I have to drive 45 minutes to school and back, and the class is 2 hours long, and then I have 6 - 8 hours of homework a day and I can barely manage it. I still work out mostly everyday though, but I don't even have time to do that and it gets in the way of getting my work done, so usually I do not get it all done, even though I stay up super late trying to get it done, and so then I am just constantly so exhausted as well. But there is also other stressful things going on in my life right now, and I feel like just giving up on my goals of trying to get a nice, fit, toned body and just eat whatever I want and not care, because when I did that my body still looked like how it does now, so all of this dieting and exercise is just not even making a difference, so I feel like it's so pointless because I'm not getting anywhere, but my body disgusts me and I desperately want to look fit and toned. So I just don't know what to do. Sorry for this long rant.

Well I'm sorry you feel this way. I have felt this way as well. I think I still feel like this at times. I think in my opinion you are working out to much. You are putting too much stress on yourself. You need to slow down before your life decides you are doing to much and something will give. It seems to already be happening do to your binges.
I applaud you cuz you still to be trying to be super human, but PLEASE CUT BACK!!! You shouldn't have to work that hard to get your results. I haven't looked at your diary maybe you needed to eat more, maybe more protein. I'm not sure cuz I just wanted to comment because my heart went out to you and I just wanted to let you know someone was listening.
Look bottom line is, you need to cut back. You have to much exercise and school. I'm not going to tell you to stop going to school but if you could cut back on some school do it. Life is to short for you to be stressed.
I started to feel better by joining the group EAT MORE TO WEIGH LESS. I learned alot. There are different stickies on there that will answer some questions you may have. Hey try it, since you aren't losing any weight it couldn't hurt and you could eat more while losing weight.
I hope I helped.0 -
I understand your pain, and DONT feel discouraged! My boyfriend was 118lb, 5'6. Scrawny. It took him 2 years to get to 141 by working out in the gym. For people like me, it is sooo easy to loose weight because fat is easier to burn than muscle is to gain. Just keep at it. One thing I do have to say is at your weight, it will be tough to judge your bmi by a calculator. For example, my boyfriend weighing at 141 lbs at 5'6 is 22.8% on the BMI calculator. When he went to the Dr he was 13%. I know it is hard, but that is part of the FUN of working out. You push yourself, challenge yourself, and then you start seeing those LITTLE victories like 3in gone! thats great! Your focus shouldnt be on dieting. You need to feed your muscles, or they wont grow. Up your calorie intake, and just keep giving it your all. The Flirty Girl Fitness videos on youtube, especially the abs and booty are GREAT, but they burn (in the awesome way where you know you are working out so good!) Do get discouraged! Since you are at such a healthy BMI quite worrying about weight loss! Just focus on the workouts and eating right! add me and message me if you want because I can tell you so much more advice if you would like!0

Thanks for the responses guys. It's nice to have some support, since I don't really have much support with my friends and family and my friends just end up sabotaging my diet since they say that I'm skinny and I don't need to diet and whatever. Even though I'm skinny I think I am a "fat skinny" person and I have a lot of excess fat still that I want to get rid of so I can get toned. Also, I joined the "eat more weigh less" group, and the amount of calories I should be eating based on the recommendations from that group is only like, 100 calories more than I was eating to begin with, haha, so it doesn't make that much of a difference. But yeah, I guess I'll just keep thinking that if I keep up with working out and eating well, hopefully I will start to see results.. but I just feel like my body just won't change! ):0
