Nighttime?

I always do really well during the day with my eating; fruits, veggies, portion control, healthy food. But the moment it hits like, dinner time, it's on. I'll make an excuse to have some unhealthy meal, or I'll find ice cream, or eat a roommates cookie and end up going over my calorie intake by 300.

I know I have to fix it myself, but I'm pretty crap at saying no to sweets. Anyone else in the same boat, and how do you say no and keep on track?

I try to keep some wiggle room for a sweet treat. We don't have much in the house for temptation (when I have a choice in the matter) so I can't get into it, I grab a glass of water before diving into something sweet or I'll exercise. Having a hobby helps take my mind off of a sweet/ unhealthy tooth also. But if nothing works and I still end up going over, I try not to let it bother me and work harder the next day on my self-control. One day at a time, probably the best thing one could do.

I eat every couple of hours so I tend to have healthy snacks in the house to munch instead of sweets. Or if it is sweet I try to go for fruit- melons like watermelon or cantaloup help me a lot.

I try to keep Quaker Oats Granola bars in the house so that if a sweet tooth does hit then I can have a bar and it's only 100 calories. Try to find something to satisfy the sweet tooth that is low in calories and then leave room in your calories for that. Good luck!
