Some people at my gym seem to be there all the time, they're there when I arrive and still there when I leave! So help me out please and give me your time at the gym to see if I'm in the 'normal' range or a lazy git!

Me:

Weights 3 times per week
Warm up/warm down = 10 minutes
Lifting = 70 minutes

Cardio 3 times per week
45 mins - 60 mins

Are you doing full body work outs?!

I split my lifting. Leg days rarely take more than 30 minutes then I do cardio 30-45 minutes.

Arms and Chest will take around 45 minutes-60.

Abs is also another "quicky" at around 25 minutes.

I am usually in the gym aroun 1hr15min-1.5hr

I've recently changed my routine, just for the sake of change, but no, never done full body

At the moment it's Chest, triceps, core one day, Back, biceps, shoulders another, then legs and abs

Well if you're splitting it up and still spening 70 minutes doing just your strength then you're doing PLENTY in the gym. Now quit focusing on others! ;o)

Personally i don't think I could afford to spend close to two hours working out + shower time etc.

Thanks. It does take a while longer as I do my routine with my wife so my rest periods are a little longer than I would normally take

I'm happy that I do spend enough time, just interested really as to what is 'average'

At my gym it's usually the women that spend the most time in the gym. A lot of the guys spend the majority of their time lifting weights, and max 10-15 on the cardio machines. I've also seen guys that do really speedy weight sessions of 20-30 minutes then bounce out. of course they don't really rest between sets.. I have about a 45 second rest between sets and do about 5-8 different exercises depending on what I'm working out.

My lifting days look like this:
Warm up 5 minutes and then lift for 30-45 minutes.

My Cardio Days: 5 minute warm up, and then run/walk for 20 minutes, and then cool down for 10 minutes.
