Hello. I recently heard about the Max Planck diet which they say makes you lose about 9kgs in two weeks and reorganises your metabolic rate. Has anyone tried it and what were your results.

Seems pretty restrictive, it's named after a German physicist who had no background/relevance to nutrition, and no one knows who created it.

I think you would be better off just sticking to MFP and learning how to eat within a calorie goal.
  • Max Planck works. I struggle to drop weight. I started it today again.

if it works why do you need to do it more than once?

Possibly someone at one of the Max Planck institutes around the world.

That said, it's looks very very restrictive.

I tried it once :D way back when I was young, I had no clue about portion control, I had no idea about healthy eating, I was a bit silly.

I lasted about 4 days. It's pretty ridiculous IMO

    Just learn to eat properly

I prefer the Max Payne diet, where you eat everything in slow motion.

It sounds like complete BS to me. It's not healthy to lose 20lbs in 2 weeks, and most of it's going to be water weight anyway.
The Max Planck name is probably just to make people associate it with the Max Planck scientific institutes in Germany, i.e. if it has a scientific sounding name then it must be scientific ergo it must be legit. But it's not, it's crap.

Is that the one where you can only eat things that fit into a shoe?
