Whats the best way to keep track of how many calories you are burning during workout. I have tried heart monitors and it actually caused heat fluttering. I think i just need a different kind. Any suggestions? I want to make sure i know what I'm getting out of my workout.

Polar FT4 or FT7. I have the FT7. A HRM monitor is really the closest to accurate you're going to get. Otherwise you can try and breakdown a rough idea of your heart rate through the exercise but it's not going to be as close as a good HRM can get you.
All that said, don't worry too much about the numbers, it stresses a lot of people out to the point of frustration. As long as you're consistently exercising (giving full effort and trying new things) and eating a solid diet then you'll get where you want. I tend to over complicate things sometimes and while I use my HRM maybe half the time I'm not concerned with what the scale or HRM says.0 -
