stomach (internal not waist) size question

Ill take opinions or educated answers... My question is if a person has ate 2 to 3 times more than than a normal adult portion for their lives since they have been on their own (currently 28) and now that they are eating right and correct portions will the internal stomach shrink any now that its not filling to the point it was? Now that I've cut down to the right portions I feel starved and its not mental I'm just not putting even half of what I was in so the stomach is just not getting full... Will it adjust?
