My Question

There are times when I go over my Calories and lose the opportunity to exercise the calories away. In those instances, what would be the best type of calories to have. I know, not to have ice cream, brownies. I guess I am wondering if I am gonna go over Should I keep it to Low Carb and mostly protein. Some nights are late for me and I need something to eat before bed. Typically it is a couple eggs.. I notce then I don't really gain, and it satisfies.
Ideas welcome.

If you go over, it's better to go protein. It's more satisfying and has a greater metabolic affect. Also, it's ok to go over occasionally.0 -
Ok, so not a dietician or a doctor or anything, but my personal opinions are to 1. eat only fresh and/or organic foods (so, nothing in a box, nothing processed, etc) and 2. depends on what type of carbs you mean. Veggies have carbs - but they are the good kind, whereas loads of white bread is the bad kind. Protein is good as well as it takes your body longer to burn this off so will give you more energy - which even overnight, yes, you do need it as your body and organs are still functioning while you sleep.
My advice is to make sure you are eating a fresh and natural, well rounded meal - as as you said, no junk food. Then at least if you go over, it is still with quality, healthy foods.0
