Looking into taking a cycling class - not a bike rider or anything of the sort. Just looking to switch up my workout routine. Has anyone taken the cycling classes at LA Fitness? How was it? How long was it?

Spinning / cycling classes will definitely get your heart rate up, burn calories and make you sweat. The quality of the class will vary with the instructor, but everyone at the LA Fitness I go to coming out of the spinning class looks like they've had a good, hard workout. I believe at my gym they are set up for 45 minute sessions. Music in the room, instructor led and a group setting that normally helps people keep up the workout intensity. If you have to ease up half way through, keep doing the workout just at a lower intensity. I see people doing that all the time, and it's a lot better than not doing the workout.
At LA Fitness all the classes (spinning, aerobics, etc) are included in the basic membership, and no sign up required. I say if you're interested, get in there are try it.0
