Gotta vent: Sorry!!! But it's too bad this kind of stuff still happens!! I was out on a GREAT walk: headphones on, my Cardio Playlist was pumping, I had a great pace going, the morning weather was nice....I was just about finished with my walk and thinking about what I was going to make for my lunch. Then I noticed a car stopped in the middle of the road ahead of me. I had that feeling yoou get in the pit of your stomach when something is not right. Didn't panic but made a mental note of the make/model/license plate (just a thing I do as a female who walks and runs by herself alot-doing it since I was a teen). Other cars are going around him because he is stopped in the middle of the road with no hazards on. Just as I walk past him I hear him talking to me- well I played the "my headphones are too loud so I can't hear you routine" thinking he would just keep moving on. As I pass his car he starts creeping next to me...okay...now I am planning a quick escape if I have to. I don't run fast but I can definitely move if I have to and this guy did not look in the best of shape and I've completed a half marathon so I can at least outrun him for 13 miles! There is a guy trimming trees nearby and other people around so no problem- I have an out. I turn and look at him- straight eye contact so he knows I am not afraid, but also not interested and start walking away a bit faster but not a run. Then the guy drives away and calls me the B-word!!! REALLY?!?!?! I'm walking in my little suburban neighborhood MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS and this has to happen!!! I have not been back out walking that route since then (and I LIKE that route). I can't believe at my age and this point in my life that these are the kinds of things that still happen. I mean I speak to people- even strangers and make eye contact and am cordial, but there are some things/feelings that should NEVER be ignored. UNBELIEVABLE....okay....I'm better now.
The funny part: I told the BF about it later that day and he was not a happy camper....he told me to give him the license plate number...I just smiled and told him to let it go (even though it still bothered me) but that part made me laugh b/c what was he really gonna do about it? LOL...

You're always gonna have creepers out there somewhere. Just be glad you didn't run into one when you weren't around other people!0

You should report that incident to the local police. Sure, they won't do much, but what if you find out that the jerk picked up someone else and killed her? You'll always wonder if you could have prevented it.
Stay safe! Carry self-protection, have your phone, stay in populated routes....
And good for you about following your gut on that one!0
